211 Ontario

Ontario 211 Services is a non-profit organization that works with may partners to improve access to services throughout Ontario. It is a free, confidential, province-wide helpline that simplifies finding support and community services for Ontario residents and an online database of services in Ontario.

Crisis Text Line

Crisis Text Line serves anyone, in any type of crisis—any painful emotion and anytime you need support, providing access to free, 24/7 support via text. Text HOME to 741741 to reach a Crisis Counselor, or select the link above for more information.

EarlyON Child and Family Centres

Parents/guardians can call EarlyON Child and Family Centres to access evidence-based child development and parenting information and resources; to re-learn the tune or words to a favourite children’s song; or to learn more about the supports and resources available to you and your family throughout Waterloo Region during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A phone and texting service that offers confidential support to post-secondary students.

Kids Help Phone

Kids and teens 18 and younger who need to talk to someone about their mental health (or anything else!) can call:

1-800-668-6868 or text “CONNECT” to 686868, for 24/7 support. No judgement, totally private, 24/7. Adults can text WELLNESS to 741741.

Parenting Now

Parents/guardians can send an email via the Parenting Now website and an Experienced Parent will message back to arrange a telephone chat about parenting. They welcome your questions and stories.

Talk for Healing
