Coalition of Muslim Women of KW: Keeping your families safe during the pandemic

"Keeping Your Families Safe During Pandemic" is a program run by the Coalition of Muslim Women of KW with funding from Canadian Red Cross. We are offering one-one and small group sessions on topics like stress management, parenting during pandemic, child abuse, domestic violence, and healthy relationships. This program is open to all, men, women, and youth.

Our 10 skilled community peer works would love to talk to you in: English, Amharic, Arabic, Dari, Farsi, Hindi, Punjabi, Somali, Tigrinya, Turkish, and Urdu.

Join our community session to discuss and learn about:

  • How to reduce the stress in the family by learning to manage our stresses and anger that we may feel due to stresses.
  • New ways of connecting with our children and supporting them during the pandemic so that the stress in the family can be reduced.
  • Understanding signs of family violence on women and children.
  • Knowing where and how to get help when you need it
