Bereaved Families of Ontario - Midwestern Region (BFO-MR)

Throughout this challenging time, Bereaved Families of Ontario – Midwestern Region (BFO-MR) is continuing to provide grief support programming, referrals and resource options to individuals in our community. For the balance of the year, all of our programming will be provided virtually. Our mixed-loss program Living with Loss is offered on the first and third Tuesday of the month and Living with Loss for adults grieving a death by substance use runs the third Wednesday of the month. Please visit our website for more information and to register.
In commemoration of International Overdose Awareness Day on August 31, BFO-MR has been running a social media education campaign, hoping to reduce the stigma and prejudice associated with deaths by substance use, build awareness and educate the community about the impact it can have on individuals and families who are grieving, and promote access to supports. Please check out our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for posts and information that has been shared through the course of this campaign. We are also inviting the community to submit a photo in honour of people who have died by substance. Photos will be featured on our Always Remembered Forever Loved Memorial page on our website and launched publicly on August 31. To share a photo, please fill out this form.
