To continue to support the work that we do, the Foundation is looking for a full-time Donation Coordinator to join our team. This is a hybrid role.

We are seeking a highly organized and donor-focused Donation Coordinator to provide essential administrative support for our fundraising and awareness initiatives. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate donor records, analyzing giving patterns, and supporting the implementation of our fund development plan. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, passionate about donor stewardship, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and record donations (cash and in-kind) accurately.
  • Maintain and update donor records and mailing lists.
  • Generate donation receipts and donor communications.
  • Analyze donor data to support targeted fundraising efforts.
  • Reconcile income records and ensure data integrity.
  • Support third-party and in-kind giving initiatives.
  • Assist with donor prospecting and personalized outreach.
  • Coordinate logistics for fundraising and awareness events.
  • Provide support and leadership to volunteers.
  • Participate in donor stewardship activities, including thank-you calls and recognition efforts

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field and professional designation preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the nonprofit sector.
  • Knowledge of CRA gift processing guidelines.
  • Experience with donor databases (Canada Helps preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, Excel, Formsite, and data reporting tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Skilled in maintaining organized office and digital systems.

Employment at Family & Children's Services of the Waterloo Region is conditional upon the verification of credentials and employment, a satisfactory police check, and a satisfactory Child Welfare check.

Salary Range: $63,272.27 - $80,500 per annum (Excluded, Grade 4)

Hours of Work: 34 hours per week
