Class Action Settlement for Sixties Scoop Survivors
Are you a Sixties Scoop survivor? You may be eligible to receive compensation if you:
• Are a registered/status First Nations person as defined in the Indian Act (or eligible to be registered) or Inuit;
• Were removed from your home in Canada between January 1, 1951 and December 31, 1991;
• Were adopted or made a permanent (Crown) ward; and
• Were placed with non-Indigenous parents.
The approved settlement provides money for cultural loss and other benefits for class members.
