To continue to support the work that we do, the Agency is looking for a casual Custodian to join our Facilities team to fill an existing vacancy. The location will vary and could be at any of the offices in Kitchener or Cambridge. This is a casual position with no guarantee of hours.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the general cleanliness and security of the building and for completing the daily cleaning schedule. This will include dusting, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning washrooms; vacuuming all carpeted areas; preparing cans for recycling; garbage disposal; cleaning inside windows; and ensuring the building is secure at the end of shift. In addition to the cleaning schedule, cleaners are expected to observe what needs to be done and ensure these tasks are completed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

·    Secondary School Graduation diploma

·    Previous custodial experience with WHMIS training and safe work practices.

Employment at Family & Children's Services of the Waterloo Region is conditional upon the verification of credentials and employment, a satisfactory police check, and a satisfactory Child Welfare check.

Salary Range: $21.3056 - $25.5975 per hour (Office & Clerical, Grade 3)
