Hear Me ~ See Me ~ I am Part of this Community

I am the traveling mural. I am made of self-portraits of a group of 12 youth. I tell you what it is like to be a young person in our community.

I was created in July 2019, as part of the The Resilience Project at Family & Children’s Services of the Waterloo Region. Lead by the resident artist, Pamela Rojas, 12 youth and several adult allies (including FACS Staff, the local community members and the Waterloo Regional police officers) came together for the first “ART FUSION FRIDAY” in Cambridge, Ontario! And this is where I was created!

My existence as a traveling mural, representing the voice of our youth, would not have been possible, without the generosity of donors, partners & supporters, who believe in the value of youth, and their impact in our community. I am grateful to the community & partners for supporting programs through the Resilience Project so that unique opportunities can be provided to those who may never experience such amazing activities.

As a traveling mural, I demonstrate a chance to Engage, Connect, Celebrate Differences & Come Together in Unity.
