Family and Children’s Services of the Waterloo Region works together with families, their supports, and our communities to protect and care for children who have been abused, neglected, or are at risk of being abused or neglected.

|Gym Drop-in||Structured and unstructured play. Mondays at The Family Centre 6pm-7:30pm.||10-17 years|
|Art Drop-in||Structured and unstructured play art activities. Mondays at The Family Centre 5:30pm-7:30pm.||6-12 years|
|Mountain Biking||Youth learn the mechanical skills in mountain biking.||Children with child welfare involvement|
|Mindfulness||Children work with their caregivers to develop healthy strategies for dealing with stress and process strong emotions and anxieties in appropriate ways.||Children with child welfare involvement|
8-12 years with caregiver
|Creative Space||Throughout the sessions children work together on a collective art project and independently. They will get to use many mediums, such as clay and paint.||6-12 years|
|Music Academy||Children explore a number of musical instruments, including ukelele, keyboard, and percussion.||6-12 years|
|Mini Me-to-We||Children have the opportunity to learn about their passions and how they can give back to their community.||Children with child welfare involvement|
|Player's Theatre||Children will have fun while learning the basics of acting and theatre. Through acting and theatre children will gain confidence as they work and learn together while building relationships.||8-12 years|
|Mindfulness||Children will work with their caregivers to develop healthy strategies for dealing with stress and process strong emotions and anxieties in appropriate ways.||8-12 years|
|Simplifying Mental Health plus Life Enhancement Skills (SMILES)||Children will learn about mental health, coping strategies, and expressing how they feel in a supportive environment.||Children with a family member living with a mental health issue|
|Trusting Loving Connections (TLC)||TLC is about strengthening relationships. Some of the topics covered include: child development, emotional needs of children, creating routines and limits, playing together, and coping with big feelings.||Parents with children under 12|
