Established in 1992, the Family and Children's Services Foundation was created to support the children and the families who require the care of Family and Children's Services of Waterloo Region. Along with its statutory responsibility to protect children in danger of physical and emotional harm, the Family and Children's Services agency, itself a charitable, nonprofit social service organization, provides children with a nurturing environment in which to heal and grow, and provides parents with the help and opportunities they need to create a better life for their families. This is only possible through the generous support of the local community.

The Family and Children's Services Foundation makes possible the Family and Children's Services programs to promote healing, learning, and growing that are not supported through government funding for child protection.

Our Registered Charity Number is 885346817RR0001.

To raise public awareness about child welfare concerns. To raise funds within our community to support the work of Family & Children's Services with children and youth of the Waterloo Region that are at risk of harm. Support the Agency's vision and mission statements.
